LEA RASOVSKY
BackHere I am, doing art because I can’t do anything else with this much drive and happiness. It started with drawing boy band members when I was about 8 or 9 (I call it the BackStreetBoys School for Gifted Children) then on to more drawing that kept feeling more and more like myself (that’s my Beavis & Butthead Royal College days). It all lead to where I am right now, this inbetween i thoroughly enjoy and where i let my my mind and hands wonder through drawing, ceramics, installations, paintings, textile work, ideas and materials, uncovering parts of a huge neverending playground.
I mostly look at, draw, mold, paint, imagine faces. Us humans are so complex, both heaven and some sort of elaborate hell reside in us in unknown measures. This paradox makes us lovable and cool but also dangerous and forever untamed.
