MIRCEA POPESCU

Mircea Popescu – visual artist, divides his activity between personal projects exhibited in galleries, museums or in public spaces and commissioned projects of illustration and ambient design.

He is interested in the flow of things from his immediate reality – an endless source of energy generating images and visual sensations. He describes his works as pop-constructivist, combining a minimalist geometric visual language with accents specific to comics and lowbrow art. He uses drawing, traditional and digital printing, cutouts, collages and 3d assemblages. Sometimes he integrates into the compositions written texts/slogans or typographical elements and words taken out of context.
